Dani & Anton got married in a small ceremony in Sweden. But before they did, they reached out to me to give them engagement photos that reflected a taste of home in Palm Beach, Florida.
They wanted something different, though. Not beachy, not woodsy, not downtown. Something in-between all of that. I knew where to take them: A hidden little road in Palm Beach Island that leads to palm trees and the ocean.
When they arrived to the island, it was storming so loud I couldn’t hear the phone ring in my car when they called. But as per usual in Florida, if you don’t like the weather, wait 20 minutes. And wait we did.
Finally, just as the sun was setting, we ran out to the middle of road and made magic happen. Every once in a while, a car passed by and honked. One driver rolled down her window and congratulated them thinking they had just wed.
We ended with a spontaneous dip in the Atlantic ocean at dusk, with sailboats in the distance.
They wanted Florida – and they got it in so many ways.
